Theme
- The theme is to always have faith and courage.
- My book was about a young boy who was born into slavery and once he got out he became a valiant marshal.
A Conflict
The conflict is Bass saw the war Indians coming to find Mister. Bass went and tried to wake up Mama .
Resolution
- The way Bass figured out his problem was to bust into Mister's house.
- Bass thought he was going to get in trouble but he didn't and he was given a shotgun.

The summary.
Bass was born into slavery. He started to learn the way whites did things. One day Mister wanted to teach Bass to play poker. Bass won most rounds. When bass had won all of Mister's money Mister wanted to bet Bass's freedom. Bass was winning his freedom when he saw Mister was going to cheat. Bass called him out on it and Mister almost shot Bass but missed. Bass then took Mister's whisky jar and knocked him out. Mama came and told bass that he needed to leave and be free.

- I'm most like Bass. Here are some of the ways I'm most like him.

My least favorite part.
My least favorite part is when Mister & Bass go to Indian land. When Bass & Mister got to the land and they saw what happened. The Comanche Indians had destroyed their land. There was a whole tribe killed. All of the stock was gone. I didn't like it because there were over 45 Indians killed. The Indians had done nothing wrong but was killed anyways.

Life event.
An event I can relate to is when Bass went to shoot the gun. When I got my first gun I was nervous like Bass. Like Bass I got used to the kick. Soon after Bass had shot his gun he was very accurate with it like me.
