This article is about how on February 14 Nikolas cruz, formal student of stoneman Douglass high school, came back to his school with a gun. He killed 14 students and 3 teachers. Soon after ,some students of the school and their followers decided to form the campaign “march for our
lives” to try to convince the government to issue more gun reforcement laws .

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT

I chose to write about this because i have heard of this shooting. I know gun violence is a big problem. Also when i saw this article ,I thought it would be a good article to write a “why is this important” on

I think the author was trying to explain/discricle because the author explained/described what happened that day. The author did not try to persuade you to join the march and the topic was way to serious to be meant to entertain .

This lens helps me think more deeply about my article because ever since there were humans, there were violence and ever since there were guns, there was gun violence . This article brings out a very good point. We should have more gun laws , so that less un responsible people can get their hands on guns, and hopefully less people will die from gun violence. Kids shouldn’t go to school in fear there might be a shooting. If everyone could get a gun, people will be afraid to come out of their houses, and things will not get done
