My focus

• The overall theme for my stories is employment and government assistance.
• Many people end up on SNAP because of difficulty finding employment

Full-Time Employment Becomes Scarce For Millennials

• focuses on employment for millennials and the difficulties they face
• I explain trends in employment and give tips on how these affect millennials.
• As well as giving tips for getting the job!

The Effects of Food Stamps on Poverty

• Tracks data about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
• Analyzed the data and show the effects SNAP has had on the economy

These were topic that I knew very little about, what I found most interesting was learning how the Food Stamp system worked and how noticeable the effects were

Techniques

• Muted colors so the colors didnt overpower the story
• Subheadings to break up the text and keep it interesting 
• Added in relevant visuals 

Most Proud

• I am most proud of my first story
• I feel it turned out well
• Very complete and interesting

Most challenging

• Getting sources
• Since SNAP is a federal program it was difficult to get somebody from SNAP to talk to me
• Many people on SNAP dont like talking about their experiences with it

Next Steps

• Send website to everybody to all of my sources
• I would like to do more research on the food stamps
• I feel like there is more that could be written about this subject
