Boredom often inhibits active listening.
Boredom is when the mind is acting more, not less.
To discourage boredom, it's best to act as though you are paying attention, even if you aren't.

PROCRASTINATION
Procrastination gives short-term pleasure, while giving long-term stress.
A way to combat the dullness is to simply get started.
This provides excitement about starting.

LISTENING
There's 5 levels of listening.
The top 2, 4 & 5, are the best, where you are attentive.
The bottom 3, 1, 2, & 3, are the worst to be at, because you care more about yourself than what is being said.
The top 2 are active listening.
