EMPATHY

  • Sharing the feelings of others can help you to:
  • better understand how the other person is feeling,
  • understand why the person is upset,
  • resolve conflict in a considerate way.

REASON

  • To reason is to:
  • think carefully,
  • consider what is best for everyone.

TOLERANCE

  • Tolerance is:
  • respecting and accepting all people regardless of differences;
  • it helps solve problems and avoid them in the future.

WALK AWAY

  • Walking away is a good option if:
  • the situation becomes dangerous, or
  • you need time to cool off and think.

No matter what type of conflict you're involved in, or what caused it, remember: STAY CALM!! If you lose your head, the argument could get violent.
