- Home of the president of France
- Built by Armand-Claude Molet in 1722
- The Élysée became the official presidential residence in 1873

- Renovated by a man named Joseph-Eugène Lacroix in 1853
- Was abandoned during world war two
- Is surrounded by a 2-hectare garden that used to hold the "Garden Party"
- Can only be visited once a year during European Heritage Day
