Mr Neville and his trackers took them away and put them in a dormitory with lots of other kids. The tracker sent out was Aboriginal and didn't want to find the girls he only did the job to stay close to his daughter. The tracker followed the girls and when Gracie got to the train station he caught her and brought her back.

The girls are resilient because they escaped Moore river after being taken away from there family. Then Molly and Daisy lost their cousin. Then even though they were tired they got up and followed the rabbit proof fence all the way home to her family.
