THE BEATITUDES

BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT, FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

• I can be grateful for everything I have and remember everything that God has given me.
• I can give up the things I have to the less fortunate so they can have a better life.
• I can try to not be greedy over my things and share with others around me.

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO MOURN, FOR THEY WILL BE COMFORTED.

• I can let my friend know that I will keep them and their loved one in my thoughts and prayers.
• I can let my friend know that I am always open to talk to them whenever they need a friend.
• I can be supportive and try to understand how much the loss has impacted them.

BLESSED ARE THE MEEK, FOR THEY WILL INHERIT THE LAND.

• I can put other’s needs before my own.
• I can try my best to be selfless like Jesus was.
• I can encourage others and be strong enough to love everyone.

BLESSED ARE THEY WHO HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, FOR THEY WILL BE SATISFIED.

• I can try my best to keep a close relationship between me and God.
• I can try my best to value everything in my life.
• I can teach others to do what’s right and live like Jesus.

BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL, FOR THEY WILL BE SHOWN MERCY.

• I can open my heart and show love to others.
• I can be willing to forgive my friends.
• I can show kindness even to those who hurt me.

BLESSED ARE THE CLEAN OF HEART, FOR THEY WILL SEE GOD.

• I can keep God in the center of my life.
• I can think of what God would want me to do before I act.
• I can pray in the mornings asking God and Jesus to help me show the best version of me each day.

BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS, FOR THEY WILL BE CALLED CHILDREN OF GOD.

• I can know I am valuable towards others and that God made me for a reason.
• I can forgive everyone who hurt me.
• I can try not to get involved in bad situations.

BLESSED ARE THEY WHO ARE PERSECUTED FOR THE SAKE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

• I can welcome everyone even if they are different from me.
• I can stand up for everyone, especially those who wouldn’t stand up for themselves.
• I can be the stronger person by forgiving others.
