HUNTING AND GATHERING

  • Homo erectus was one of the first to start hunting and gathering.
  • They were nomadic.

Hunting and gathering may have allowed them to get more food.

It may have given them a different diet, and that could make them healthier.

FIRES

  • Homo erectus likely had control.
  • They could socialize, and cook.

It may have changed their lives by letting them eat cooked food.

It may have changed their lives by keeping them warm.

FARMING

  • Raised and trained animals instead of hunting.
  • No longer nomadic.
  • Started to take control of environment.

CITIES

  • Farming brought communities together.
  • When there was more than enough food, people had different jobs.
  • Developed other skills.
