SYMPTOMS

  • Trimmers
  • Change in speech
  • Rigged muscle
  • Impaired balance and posture
  • Loss of automatic movement

DIAGNOSTICS

  • Go to doctor!!
  • They will observe arms for tremors
  • Also observes walking and ability to sit in a chair
  • The doctor will pull you backwards to check balance

WHAT IS IT?

  • Disorder of the nervous system
  • Effects movement
  • Sometimes it starts with a small trimmer
  • Early stages may show little or no expression on your face
  • It worsen over time as condition progresses

HOW COMMON IS IT?

  • It effects 1 in 50 individuals
  • Older than 65

HOW YOU GET IT

  • It happens when their is a problem with certain nerve cells in the brain
  • The nerves being damaged produces dopamine
  • The age,gender,ethnic background doesn't typically influence the disorder

TREATMENT

  • Medications can help manage
  • Increase the dopamine
  • You can have surgical procedures
  • Like deep brain stimulation
  • DBS a surgical implant of electrodes

  • The family or main care giver have to take the person with the disease
  • Go to doctor and supply care
