• The first school was founded in 1859
• Later on a new school was founded in 1963

WHO FOUNDED CBS CARLOW

• Cbs was founded by the Christian brothers
• The main founder was Edmund rice
• Edmund rice was born on the first of June 1762
• He died on the twenty sixth of August 1844

MICHEAL O'HANRAHAN

• Micheal o'hanrahan was a past pupil of Cbs carlow
• He fought in the 1916 risen
• Born in 1877
• Died in 1916

SOME FACTS

• The first school was a primary and secondary school
• The school has three parts a old part , a newer part and another part was added on to the school in recent years
• The original school was beside where the cathedral is today
• In 1963 the school moved to railway road
• The school is still open today
