Before You Start

• Did your agency have a cybersecurity program at the end of last year that met the regulation's requirements?

If not ...

• Get into compliance ASAP
• Log in to the Big I NY website & click on "Cybersecurity" to get the help you need
• Do not file the Certification of Compliance

If Yes ...

• Log in to the Cyber Portal on the NYS Department of Financial Services website
• Complete the Certification of Compliance for your agency's license number by April 15

Tips

• Have the system search for your agency's record using the agency's license number
• It's the easiest way

Tips

• If you don't have a board of directors, state that the agency principal is certifying compliance

Tips

• Enter the date you are completing the form as the date that you certified compliance

Tips

• The form will automatically fill in last year as the year for which you are certifying
• You can't change that

Tips

• Enter the contact information of the person completing the form

Tips

• Read the affirmation carefully - you are swearing under penalty of perjury that your agency was in compliance

FINISHED!

• Check the box for the affirmation
• Click "Submit"
• You're done!

NOT FOR EMPLOYEES

• This requirement does not apply to licensed members of your staff
• They do not have to file

Print Your Receipt

• You might need the confirmation number some day

Your agency must complete & submit the form by April 15 each year
