  • Symptoms: difficulty swallowing or speaking, facial weakness, and paralysis.

BOTULISM

  • Life Cycle: The pathogen develops on contaminated water or food. It then travels into your blood stream if consumed. It becomes strong and resistant to almost anything so it never dies. 10 to 25 percent of these victims die.

BOTULISM

  • Treatment: antitoxin injection and breathing assistance for the victim.
