THE STORY OF JOSHUA

TOLD BY CAMERON TORTAJADA AND VED SRIRAMAN.

JOSHUA, THE ONE KNOWN FOR LEADING THE ISRAELITES/ JEWS TO CANAAN IS ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS ISRAELITES TOLD BY TALES. JOSHUA WAS BORN IN 1355 B.C. IN ANCIENT EGYPT, AND HIS FAMILY CONSISTED OF HIS PARENTS, "NUN" AND GRANDPARENTS, ELISHAMA.

MOSES HAS BEEN DECLARED DEAD

AND NO ONE KNOWS WHAT WHAT TO DO, EXCEPT JOSHUA.
Joshua was forth a great time of longing to come, for the great Moses was dead. The Jewish God had commanded him to lead the Israelites to victory and conquest as to their normal ways before the horrific times from the period then.

THE BELIEF IN THE JEWISH GOD

THE ISRAELITES FOLLOW/ LISTEN TO JOSHUA.
The Israelites promised to follow Joshua because they knew he was with god. First, they god promised them to give them back the promised land and in return they would follow god's prominent orders.

THE FIRST BATTLE

THE BATTLE OF JERICHO.
Jericho was where the first battle will place, against the town of and Jericho's army. However, somebody mean told the King of Jericho that there were spies in town, and so the King went lookin for them.

THE SPIES ARE CAUGHT

JOSHUA SENDS SPIES TO CANAAN/ JERICHO TO SPY ON THE KING.
Wisely, the first thing Joshua acted to was to send people to spy on Canaan and study Jericho.

However, someone mean told the King of Jericho that the spies were in Jericho, and the King sent soldiers to capture them by retrieving them from Rahabs' house, where the men were hidden.

RAHAB HIDDEN IN HER HOUSE

JOSHUA'S SPIES HIDE UNDER THE FLAX IN RAHAB'S HOUSE.
Quickly, Rahab hid Joshua's spies under a bag of flax. Then, after the soldiers left she took a scarlet cord and lowered the spies down the wall of Canaan, but she helped them because Rahab knew they were inclusive of God's workers.

CROSSING THE JORDAN RIVER

JOSHUA'S SPIES HAD TO CROSS THE JORDAN RIVER TO GET TO CANAAN.
Rahab had been promised that they, the soldiers of God, would save her family. However, before reaching Jericho, the Promised Land, they to cross the Jordan River to get there.

HOWEVER, HOW WOULD THEY GET PAST?
In spite of the hard task ahead of them, the spies were told by god of the solution. God told them the evident priests would lead them across to victory with an ark of the ten commandments. God performed a miracle when the priests feet touched the edge of the river bank, and they ..created a dry path in the ocean for the spies.

CROSSING THE RIVER OF JORDAN

HEADING TO CANAAN
Safely after crossing the Jordan river, the spies were in the fall for the Jericho Army, however the almighty Gods helped them, as the spies obeyed God's orders.

After crossing the Jordan River, the spies of him placed twelve stones on the bank and in the river, these were to remind the children of Jericho's land of God's love and care.

THE BATTLE OF JERICHO

JOSHUA AND HIS TROOPS, " FIRED AT WILL".
Jericho, a strong city at will, was built on prime forces with the Jericho Wall protecting its faith.

God sent the captain/ leader of His Army to reoccur the idea of Joshua's Israelites getting help from God because he loved to carry the people.

THE STRANGE PLAN OF JERICHO

JOSHUA GETS ADVICE FROM GOD ON HOW TO ATTACK JERICHO.
God had a strange plan indeed, but one that would save them from the evil Jericho. For one day of six entire, the spies of Joshua had to march around the Jericho Kingdom, and seven times on the seventh day. Although it was a strange plan, it worked, Jericho was destroyed for good. At last, finally they would blow their trumpets and all would fall down.

GOD COMMANDS

JERICHO FALLS TO THE SPIES.
Joshua did as God commanded, and, suprisingly as the plan was strange, people laughed at them. But soon, THE GREAT WALLS OF JERICHO CRUMBLED as the horn of the ram was sounded immensely big on the final day of the marching plan.

RAHAB'S SAFE

AND IS BEING RESCUED BY HIS MIGHTY ONE (GOD).
Only Rahab's house in the wall was safe, for she
had been the only citizen of the mighty one to leave a big scarlet cord through her window.

JERICHO IS DESTROYED

FOVEVER WILL IT BE FORGOTTEN, "GOD COMMANDS".
In return, Joshua dedicated Jericho's gold, silver, and treasures to God in deep debt for protecting the lone, in need Israelites. In addition to that, he also put a curse on anyone who tried to rebuild the wicked city.

Soon everybody heard of Joshua's forces defeating the evil Jericho, and they knew God was indeed with His great people.
