Solar Energy is a source of energy that is healthier for our environment. Solar is a renewable source of energy. The collectors use sunlight to warm waters to heat buildings. Spacecrafts use solar sails to convert light into motion.

Photovoltaic cells are those dark panels you see on solar powered devices like calculators. Fossil fuels are used to heat our homes, run our cars and power industrial plants. Solar cannot power a whole plant, so fossil fuels are used quickly.

Most people use fossil fuels mainly for the cost. But unlike fossil fuels Solar, Wind and hydroelectric power are all renewable. One day we will run out of fossil fuels and solar will be there to take its place.
