CHICKENS

POLISH

  • Originated in the Netherlands.
  • The purpose of the animal is they are ornamental.
  • They are identified by having a crest or beard they are small, they are soft feathered, fairly actitive despite there restricted vision.

RHODE ISLAND RED

  • They originated in the New England states of Massachusetts
  • There purpose is meat and eggs laying around 150-200 per year
  • Some identifing characteristics are they are red (most of them) they have rectangular,relatively long bodies typically dark red. Some are more of a dark black and brown.

SILKIE

  • They originate from Asia but some believe they came from china, Japan, and India.
  • They are broody and lay some eggs.
  • Some know qualities are there fifth toe, they are flightless birds and have black skin.

SUSSEX

  • They originated in Sussex England
  • The purpose of the breed is to breed them together for meat and eggs they are a all around good farm fowl.
  • They are identified mostly because they are very alert p and have good foragers.

WYANDOTTES

  • They originated in upstate New York and Ontario.
  • There uses are for eggs and meat.
  • Some characteristics are they can be kept in rugged conditions they have a curvy shape they also have a variety of different colors and patterns.

SUMATRA

  • They originated from the Island of Sumatra
  • There purpose is eggs and other ornamental purposes.
  • The identifying characteristics are they have a distinctive fowl which makes them look less like domestic poultry.
