2 liter soda bottle
Cotton batting (cotton balls)
Plastic straw
Fine and Large gravel
Fine and Large grain sand
Activated charcoal granules
A coffee filter

Activated charcoal granules: $5.99 @ Home Depot
50 lb. Play Sand: $3.75 @ Home Depot
Fill Sand/Sandy 9s: $6.50 @ Weidle Corporation
50 lbs. Outdoor gravel: $3.35 @ Home Depot
Pit-Run Gravel: $6.00 @ Weidle Corporation

Step 1: Cut off the top half of the soda bottle.

Step 2: Put the cotton batting on the bottom of it.

STEPS 3-10
Pour in a half cup of coals.
Repeat with fine and large sand.
Then fine and large gravel.
Repeat until the top is filled.
7.
PLACE A COFFEE FILTER ON TOP OF EVERYTHING.
