What is Apprenticeship?

Apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training (OJT) and related classroom instruction under the supervision of a journey-level craft person or trade professional in which workers learn the practical and theoretical aspects of a highly skilled occupation.

Earn while you learn
Minimum of 144 hours per year of related supplemental instruction

Benefits

  • Learn skills necessary to succeed in high demand careers
  • Paycheck from day one (wages increase with experience and skill)
  • Nationally recognized industry certification
  • An education - potential to earn college credits
Apprentices can earn anywhere from $19 - $30 hourly

Average $58,000 per year plus benefits. Those that complete their program.

Can earn an Associate's Degree- Multi-Occupational Trades Degree. 10-20 credits away once they complete their apprenticeship. No debt.

Follow instructions for applying
Prepare for your interview - test prep, resume, letters of recommendation, etc.

  • Increase the of apprenticeship slots by 50 within Snohomish County
  • Create at least 70 comprehensive internships or pre-apprenticeship opportunities
  • Put 100 WIOA enrolled participants through Career connected Learning experiences. This includes job fairs, business tours, workshops, etc.
