LIFE OF SOLOMON

• The son of David who got the kingdom when he died.
• He married 700 women including the daughter of pharaoh and 300 concubines.
• Solomon ruled over the all the kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines.
• God appeared to Solomon in a dream and asked him for what he wanted and he said wisdom.
• Solomon's wisdom excelled of the children of Israel.

SOLOMON DISOBEYS GOD

• Solomon solved a problem between two prostitutes.
• In the beginning he followed God like his father did.
• Then he turned away from God and started following other Gods.
• He disobeyed god by having more than one wife.
• The women he had started worshiping other gods so he did it too to keep them.

GOD

• Since Solomon did this God said that he would take away the kingdom.
• But not from Solomon but from his son and only leave him one tribe.
• God left him one for David.
• When Solomon did this it angered God.
• So solomon disobeyed God

Now the LORD raised up an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite; he was a descendant of the king in Edom. For it happened, when David was in Edom, and Joab the commander of the army had gone up to bury the slain, after he had killed every male in Edom (because for six months Joab remained there with all Israel, until he had cut down every male in Edom), that Hadad fled to go to Egypt, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with him.

Solomon ruled over all Israel for 40 years.He died in natural causes in 931 BC.
