UNDERAGE DRINKING

JASPER COUGLE

Underage drinking
The law is 18 and over for drinking in Australia, but many disobey this rule by drinking at young ages. Actually 1in 4 young Australians drink underage which has caused around 500 deaths and 3 500 teens hospitalised from drinking
The affects it can have on you can lead to bad things, such as not being able to develop the brain fast enough, causing violence, self harm, flooding the body and of course getting addicted. Drinking underage may cause problems down the path with your lungs and bowels.

CONSEQUENCES

  • SIXTY litres of beer, vodka- based alcopops, rum, vodka and liqueur went in the bin on Saturday after the booze was found in the car of three under-aged boys at the Whitsundays.
  • The boys were issued with infringement and the alcohol was disposed of
  • If the boys would have consumed that alcohol they would have been a lot more trouble with law and their health.
