SEDIMENT FILTRATION

  • Filters That Trap Large Substances Like Dirt, Sand, Grit, Etc. And Is Used So That The Substances Don't Get Through And Clog Other Machines
  • You Should Always Use Clean Filters To Get Most Substances Out Of The Water
  • It Is Used In Water Treatment Facilities

ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT

  • Water Passes Through A Chamber Which Keeps A Large Ultraviolet Light Source And Kills Any Genetic Material (Bacteria, Parasites, Viruses) And Collects Its Remains And Removes Them From The Water

BOILING

  • When Water Is Boiled It Can Kill Bacteria, Viruses, And Parasites That Are Inside The Water, Many People Boil Water To About 5 Minutes Or More To Get Rid Of All The Contaminants, The Downside Of This Is Inconvenience (Hiking, Camping, Anywhere That Doesn't Have Appliances)

SOIL FILTRATION

  • The Soil Traps Particles As Water Is Going Down Through The Soil And Soil Micro-Organisms Purify The Water By Breaking Down The Nutrients And Contaminants That Are In The Water

WETLANDS

  • Wetlands Can Remove 60% Of Metals In Water And 90% Of Sediment From Urban And Agriculture Runoff
  • Wetlands Filter Water By Slowing Its Flow, The Particles Drop Into The Sediment Layer In The Wetland, Over Time They'll Be Sequestered As Other Layers Form On Top Of It
