WHAT CASUES IT

  • Experts are not sure but they think it's from the cows eating infected meat

HOW LONG IT TAKES TO SHOW SYMPTOMS

  • It takes about 6 months to show symptoms

HOW IS IT TRANSMITTED

  • It is a brain disease that cattle can only get also it's a rare disease that effects the brain and spinal cord

IS IT INFECTIOUS

  • No mad cow disease is not infectious only cows can get the disease humans can get a different kind of mad cow disease but it's will not be the disease cows have

WHAT EFFECT DOES IT HAVE

  • Over the years experts found out it makes cows very jumpy also they don't live as long because hurts the brain in to a more spongy brain

CURE?

  • Couldn't be cured but medication may help the cow with the disease doctors have meds for the cows nerves

VERY RARE

  • Fewer then 1,000 us cases per year mad cow disease is and un likely disease

DISCOVERED

  • Was discovered in great Britain in 1986

EFFECTS.

  • Effects brain and spin in cattle

HOW TO AVOID IT

  • By not eating any food with animal brain or spinal cord tissue

SYMTOMPS

  • Problems with Condensation muscle contracts
  • Sharp pains uncomfortable tinging
  • Jumpy and nervous

TREATMENTS

  • Neurologist helps the nerves

EFFECTS OVER TIME

  • Over time it destroys the brain and spinal cord

OFFSPRING

  • A mother cow with mad cow disease can pass it on to a calf

  • Humans cam not get this disease
  • Only Cattle can get mad cow disease
  • Takes 6 months for symptoms to show
  • Effects the brain and spinal cord
  • Cows become very jumpy while having this disease
