  • The Temple of the Night Sun, located in El Zotz

  • El Castillo was built for Kukulkan, the Mayan God of the Four Elements
  • The Temple of the Night Sun was build for their Sun God and is 1,600 years old
  • These pyramids still exist are and tourist attractions today

El Castillo is the most memorable. It has so much significance to the Mayan culture. This was built for a god. Others were built for sacrificial purposes.

  • The Tomb of Etimad-ud-Daula, located in Arga

  • The Taj Mahal was built by The Great Mogul Shah Jahan for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal
  • The Tomb of Etimad-ud-Daula was built for Mirzā Ghiyās Beg, who was a Persian Amir in exile
  • These structures are still standing today .

I think that the Taj Mahal is the most memorable. It's one of the most famous Indian structures. It is cherished by thousands of Indians. Also, this structure was made from live. That's a plus.

I think that these civilizations didn't use them in the same matter. The Mayans used them for either sacrificial purposes or for gods. The Indians built theirs to represent people. Also, they don't look or use the same materials.

I think the purpose of monumental agriculture is to bring a significance to a civilization. Yes, these two civilizations fulfilled the purpose. They show what your culture is like. Also, it Shows your way of going about your life.
