Skin: Their skins do not bear scales but appear at a macro scale as a papillose surface which is made from hair-like protuberance developed across entire body.
Geckos are polyphyodonts and able to replace each of their 100 teeth every 3-4 months.
They have a wide distribution among the world, they mostly live in rain forest in S. America, Africa, Australia and S. Asia.
Their lifespan is 6-10 years, and they are carnivore. Under emergency situations, geckos are also be able to shed their tails to attract predator's attention.
