The first people that lived in Panama were the Cueva and Cocle tribe. Both tribes interacted together peacefully and traded with each other.

Soon the Europeans and Spanish took over and claimed Panama in the 15th century. The first permanent settler was in 1510.

Some historical events that happened in Panama were in 1914 the Panama Canal opened. In 1903 Panama became independent.

Challenges of Panama
Education systems aren't doing well. Law of force is weak and they are using too much energy they can't keep up.

Similarities with the u.s and Panama

  • Economy: both U.S and Panama trade goods.
  • Government: They have the same type of government as the U.S  
  • Culture: both celebrate Christmas & News year and have special dances
  • Historical Events: Both had a first president and the U.S invaded Panama

DIFFERENCES between U.s and panama

  • Economy: U.S unemployment is really high and Panamas is low. 
  • Government: Panama has a different presidents and have different laws
  • Culture: Panama celebrates Day Of The Dead. 
  • Culture: Different languages and listen to different music. 
  • Historical Events: The U.S was involved in a lot more wars than Panama. P

Historical events: Panama was only involved in three wars. Also, Panama never had the great depression and didn't have as many immigrants as the U.S.
