PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Background
- There are reports of a virus termed “H1Z1” that turns everyone infected into zombies. It is reported that it is spread by saliva or by contact with contaminated bodily fluids
THE H1Z1 VIRUS AFFECTS THE FOLLOWING
- Cerebral Cortex- affecting all cognitive skills.
- Cerebellum- affecting the body’s ability to maintain balance and coordination.
- Parietal Lobe- hindering the body’s ability to initiate voluntary movements of muscle.
- Frontal Lobe- affecting the body’s ability to speak.
- Thalamus- disables the ability to feel pain.
The infected or dead are cannibalistic seeking to devour the living. The infected target the spinal column and central nervous system, the most efficient way to spread the virus.
Reports show that SECTA high school is suffering from this epidemic. SECTA has 1,751 students and 84 full-time teachers, of these there is currently know to be 13 teachers and 400 students infected .
INFECTED VS. NON-INFECTED
Mr. Vespo, the strength & conditioning teacher was one of the thirteen people teachers infected. Mr.Vespo was jumped by the zombies while opening the door to his classroom. Immediately his sympathetic nervous system was triggered his pupils dilated and his heart rate increased.
Given Mr. Vespo’s ripped physique, presumed healthy lifestyle and the advantage of adrenaline supported by his sympathetic nervous system; anyone would guess that the odds were in his favor. Yet, mr.Vespo didn’t get far before he was outnumbered .
HOW TO CHECK FOR THE VIRUS
- fMRI(Functional magnetic resonance imaging)- A technique for measuring brain activity. It works by detecting the changes in blood oxygenation and flow that occur in response to neural activity.
- CT Scan(Computed tomography)- Uses scanning builds up a picture of the brain based on the differential absorption of X-rays
- PET(Positron Emission Tomography)- Uses trace amounts of short-lived radioactive material to map functional processes in the brain.
- NIRS(Near infrared spectroscopy)- An optical technique for measuring blood oxygenation in the brain. Provides a measurement of brain activity
HOW TO AVOID CONTRACTING THE VIRUS
- Stay sanitized all day, everyday
- Stay away from all infected or people that seem infected
- If you see suspicious behavior report it
- Get check ups annually
