There are many ways that you can interpret this beatitude. For example It could mean people who are don’t have the basic necessities. It could also mean people who don’t post faith in Jesus or God.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted
This beatitude can mean many things and speak to many people. Also this beatitude talks about how people are always having losses. When these happen Jesus is always there to comfort you.
BLESSED ARE THEY WHO HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, FOR THEY WILL BE SATISFIED
I THINK THIS MEANS TWO THINGS. ONE WAY YOU COULD LOOK AT THIS IS BY THE BEATITUDE TELLING US TO HELP OTHERS AND FEED OTHERS. ALSO IT COULD BE SEEN A DIFFERENT WAY. IT COULD BE SEEN AS GOD WILL ALWAYS FEED THE HUNGRY.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy
This means if you show mercy to others God will show mercy to you. Also when you show mercy to others you are being a good person. That is what this beatitude means.
Blessed are the peacemakers, they will be called children of God
It think this beatitude tells us lots of things. For example it tells us who we should aspire to be. It tells us that we can be the peacemakers that God wants us to be.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
There are many ways you can look at this beatitude. One way is by only looking at the bad part or the past when people were persecuted. But if you look at it with a forward looking standpoint than you can see that it means that is you sacrifice you self for the good of al God will repay you for that.
