There are laws put in place for the preservation of forest such laws put in place for the limitation of logging and anti forest fire campaigns. There are also benefits for land owners who replant trees and laws that if an area has been cleared trees must be replanted.

Deforestation has many negative effects on the environment, millions of species or plant and animal live in forest, the reason forest are getting cut down at a rapid rate is because of profit or agriculture.

One of the cons of deforestation in minnesota is a lack of biodiversity because we take away the habitat of local animals forcing them to migrate, die or a decrease in population.

Foresters know there forest are changing so as to keep the timber market up in the future foresters are bringing in trees from far away giving Minnesota a diverse forest for future profit
