Primary Source - provides first hand accounts of a person or event
Primary Sources

- Speeches
- Photographs
- Diaries
- Interviews
- Newspaper articles
Secondary Sources - accounts of an event or person produced after the fact.
Secondary Sources
- Textbooks
- Magazine articles
- Non-fiction books
- Online reference articles
Primary Sources are open to interpretation, while Secondary Sources may contain bias.
