ALMOS EXTINCT, THEY ARE CRITICALLY ENDANGERED
3.
SOME CHARACTERISTICS
The saolas head and body lenght is approximately 150cm.
The adult weight of a saola is100kg.
The saolas tail length,( which is not so long) is 25cm.
The shoulder height, from feet to shoulder, is is 80-90cm.
Saola's make a sound, or comunicate with a bleat.
4.
ADAPTATIONS
As saolas live on forests, with brown branshes, so they can camouflage with their inviorment
The saolas horns ( 35-50cm ) help them deal with predators or rival saolas
The saolas have short and soft hair to adapt to their mountainous habitat.
They have whiskers, from the chin ( 2cm long ), and with those whiskers they can sense.
They have a tongue that can be 16cm long, and at the upper surface it has pointing barbs.

THREATS
Habitat loss, because when humans make way forntowns, saolas are squished into smaller spaces.
Hunting, saolas are squished into untouched forest, so hunters find them easily.
Snares, saolas get caught in snares that farmers set for deer, so deer dont eat their crops.
Predeators, a small amount of why the saolas disapead is because of their predators.
The last threat is cimat change, yes they adapt but not that quickly.

11.
PROTECTING THE SAOLA
SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE
12.
MY SOLUTIONS
I think that they should also tell everybody not to harm saolas
They should tell farmers to be more careful for snarls
Or not to take saolas in captive, or kill them
13.
Comparing the Saola and the Black-Footed Ferret
The saola and the black footed ferret hace lots in comon
Their threats are vary similar, like habitat loss
Both have not so high population
14.
SOLUTIONS WITH THE SAOLA

Protect their home and food
