There were two different types of buildings a vault and a dome. they made concrete by by mixing sand, broken up stone, and cement and also mixed that with water, when they are done mixing they have to wait for the concrete to harden. The Romans actually were the ones who invented stadiums. Engineering Romans were very good at building bridges, roads, and aqueducts. Arches from aqueducts still can be found in Europe, Asia Minor, and Africa

Language

  • The main language that the Romans spoke was Latin. Many languages have developed from Latin, including Spanish, Italian, and French. English as well has many words that originated from Latin. English words also start with prefixes from the Latin language such as precede, prepay, and prefix. Also many months on a calendar come from Latin words, September means the 7th month, August is named after Caesar Augustus from Rome, and October means the 8th month. In the modern day we also use Roman numerals like II, IV, XII, and many more. Like today, Romans wrote in capital letters but they used every letter in capitals.
