POLAR REGIONS

  • Earth's polar regions are the areas of the globe surrounding the poles also known as frigid zones.
  • The North pole and South pole are being the centres .
  • These regions are dominated by the polar ice caps.
  • They are resting respectively on the Arctic Ocean and the continent of Antarctic.

ARCTARCTIC

  • It is the second smallest continent.
  • It is also the coldest, windiest and
  • driest continent in the whole world.

ARCTIC

  • It is the top part of the world.
  • In winter it is very dark and cold.
  • However in summer it have
  • a continuous daylight, very damp
  • and foggy.

GLOBAL WARMING

  • Its is the rise of average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and ocean.
  • It is most caused by the greenhouse effect.
  • Greenhouse effect is when more heat is trapped into the Earth.
  • This causes Climate Change.
  • Climate change is when weather of a certain place has changed or it isn't normal to them.

AFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING IN POLAR REGIONS

  • Metling of sea ice and glaciers.
  • Animals like penguins and polar bear finds hard to live on hot weather.
  • Some species now struggle to survive as polar regions become warmer.
  • Even small changes in the conditions are enough to have serious impacts.
