A is for academic because darry wants ponyboy to get a's at school and do really well.
B is for blade because he socs use switchblades to torment the greasers when they are jumping them.
C
C is for convair. A convair is one of the cars that the socs drive.
D
D Is for dropout because ponyboys brother soda dropped out to help raise ponyboy.
E is for escape because ponyboy wants to escape Darry. He wants this because he feels that dairy doesn't love him and that nothing is ever good enough for Darry.
F is for fighting because the greasers and socs fight a lot. They fight because the socs like to pick on the greasers because the socs have more stuff.
G is for gang because there are Abunch of gangs like the socs in the story. The gangs fight eachother all of the time.
H is for hood because it is another word for a greaser that isn't that nice. Ponyboy is called a hood in his science class for pulling out a switchblade.
