PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Theme:
The author expresses his opinion about being the best man you can be. He says that to be the best person, you have to stick with your same beliefs no matter what.
Analysis:
The poem is kind of a philosophy that Kipling writes to his son, stating that in order to be the best man you can be, you have to have your own values, and they can't be influenced by anything other than yourself.
Favorite Line:
"you must trust your self when all men doubt you." I like this line because I think it's important to have self confidence throughout life. And even if people don't have faith in you, you should always have faith in your self.
Connection:
I think many people can relate to the poem because when you're growing up, there was someone that you looked up to, that would teach you good morals.
