Axis of Symmetry

A line through something that splits both symmetrical sides.

Quadratic Function

A quadratic function is in the form of y=axsquared+bx+c

Standard form of equation

Standard form is when A and B are the coefficient and C is the constant.

Vertex form of quadratic

The form of this would be y=a(x-h)squared and (h,k) are the vertex coordinates.

Zero product property

The zero product property is a times b=0 and it says a=0 and b=0.

Zero's of function

The value of any variable that the function equals 0.

Factoring

Rewriting an expression from the product of it's factors.

Difference of two squares

An expression of a form that is squared and can be factored like this (a+b) (a-b).

Perfect square trinomial

It's the product you get when you square a binomial.

Quadratic Formula

An equation in standard form axsquared+bx+c=0 can be solved by using the quadratic formula.

Discriminant

It decides the number of real roots that the quadratic equation has.

Imaginary number

Any number which would be i.

Complex numbers

Complex numbers are the combination of imaginary and real numbers.
