Definition:

Non profit organizations are institutions that function much like business organizations, but do not operate for the purpose of generating profit.

These non-profit organizations are usually in the business of benefiting society.

NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS ARE:

• Hospital

• Trade associations
• Labor unions

Many non profit organizations operate w/ partial gov. support. Almost all of them provide services rather than goods.
