PRESENTATION OUTLINE
AA Similarity Postulate:
If two angles of one Triangle are congruent to two angles of another triangle, then the triangles are similar.
SAS Similarity Theorem:
Angle of one triangle is congruent to an angle of a second triangle, and the sides including the two angles are proportional, then the triangles are similar.
SSS Similarity Theorem:
If the corresponding sides of two triangles are proportional, then the triangles are similar.
Pythagorean Theorem:
In a right triangle, the sum of the square of the lengths of the legs of is equal to the square of the length of the hypotenuse.
45-45-90 Triangle:
In a 45-45-90 triangle, both legs are congruent and the length of the hypotenuse is square root of two the length of of a leg.
30-60-90 Triangle Theorem:
In a 30-60-90 triangle, the length of the hypotenuse is twice the length of the shorter leg. The of the longer leg is square root of 3 times the length of the shorter leg.
Tangent:
A line that touches a sphere or circle at only one point.
Sine:
sin A = opposite

hypotenuse
Cosine:
cos A = adjacent
--------------------
hypotenuse
Angle of Elevation:
Seeing something at an angle of any degree above a horizontal line.
Angle of Depression:
Seeing something at an angle of any degree below a horizontal line.
