COMMENSALISM

  • One organism benefits and doesn't effect the other organism
  • The shark provides protection to the fish and the shark does not benefit

CARRING CAPACITY

  • Is limitation of an environment based on resources and external factors
  • The deer are going to be limited in Minnesota by food to find and the winters will kill the weak deer.
  • The population will grow till it hits the capacity. If it goes over a species will die off

HABITAT

  • Is a place where a organism is normally found
  • Example: deer's habitat would be the forest

  • Is when on organism is a parasite and uses the other organism and kills the other organism
  • Example: when people get sick the virus is using use as a host cell

ECOLOGY

  • Is the study or organism and the inter action with other organisms
  • Example: after a mt. St. Helens people came to study the that land and ecology

AUTOTROPHS

  • Autotrophs are organism that make and produce their own food
  • Example: many plant use sun light to make their own food.

CARIVORES

  • Carnivore are organism that eat other living moving organism food food
  • Example: A wolf eat a deer for food

DECOMPOSER

  • Is a organism that breaks down dead organism and decomposes them in the soil
  • Example: when a wolf dies bacteria breaks down the wolf.

HERBIVORES

  • Are organism that only eat plants and grasses
  • Example: a deer only eats plant and grasses

CONSUMER

  • Is a organism that does not make their own food
  • Example is little fish eat weed and aquatic plants
