Their Gods- compromised of 'transformed figures- consisted of Jaguar men. (Half man, half jaguar.)

Shamans know the jaguars, or "naguals" as their spirit protectors. The jaguar is said to possess the transient ability of moving between worlds because of its comfort both in the trees and the water. Showing comfort on the earth, and in the afterlife.
