A. The western influence was commonly called barbie, which included make-up, and indecent clothes which are not usually condoned in Iran. Most of iran is strict on following the Islamic cleric decisions. Women's liberation in iran is equivalent to a plastic figurine known as a barbie.

B. When Barbie is first introduced into a new society, it will affect children first, as they grow up under that influence, they consider it a social norm.

C. They believed that the original barbie doll from america was scary, had fierce eyes, and had a very toothy smile.

A. During the mid-twentieth century, an individualized consumer culture emerged. It was a new, modern, self expressed consumer culture.

A. The status of women changed after World War II as they gained more rights and the world became more industrialized. Social roles of women in the workplace and other traditional roles weren’t completely eradicated but began to transform.

B. The discrimination that women faced in the workplace was a major stimulus for the feminist movements in industrialized movements. After World War 2, when more and more women went to work, women started to protest job discrimination, pay differentials between men and women, and their lack of legal equality.

C. In the United States the Civil Rights Movement which demanded equality for African-Americans influenced the women’s rights movement and provided a training ground for women activists.
