• He used Math and Science to porve black holes, and Einstiens Theory of Relativity.

• In 1988 he won the Wolf Prize in Physics.
• In 1979 he won the Albert Einstien medal.
• He won the Eddington medal in 1975, which was his first achievment.
• In 2006 he was awarded the Copley medal from the Royal Society.
• 2009 he won the Presidentail medal of Freedom, which is the highest honor.
