  • Unicelluar, multicellular and colonial
  • Protists are eukaryotes, which they have a nucleas
  • They live in a water-based enviroment
  • They are able to do cellular respiration and can do photosynthesis
  • They reproduce by mitosis and some by meiosis

MORE FACTS ON PROTISTS

  • They are major components of plankton
  • They are grouped in unafficial categories
  • They ingest their by phagocytosis
  • They live in fresh and marine waters
  • Botanists use the word "Division" to mean the same taxonomic level as "Phylum"

  • Mycology is the study of Fungi
  • Fungi are eukaryotes
  • Fungi depend on other organisms to survive
  • They are multicellular
  • The Hyphae is a network of thread-like structures in Fungi which form its body

MORE FACTS ON FUNGI

  • The part we see is the "Fruit" of the Fungi(Mushrooms)
  • The "living" part of the Fungi is the Mycelium
  • The Mycelium is usually under the soil, or in wood
  • Mycelium can cover MANY ACRES OF LAND!
  • Zygomycota or as we call it is mold are Sporangium Fungi that reproduce by spores
