I don't think we are

  • We have taxes
  • There are laws that restrict us 
  • There are rules that we follow

This isn't really a bad thing...

...Because

  • Laws keep things in order
  • Everything would be complete chaos
  • We wouldn't know what to do

Basically...

We're free, but we aren't free, but it's okay.
