  • Reading is like a simulation
  • When you read your brain reacts as if you're living it.
  • Words set off different parts of the brain certain
  • Using an FMRI machine, the brain can be scanned and can tell what parts are reacting.
  • While reading certain areas can be triggered by certain words.

  • The sensor cortex, motor cortex, olfactory cortex, can be used while reading.
  • While reading, a vivid simulation is produced by the brain, that runs in the mind, just as a simulation would run on a screen.
  • While reading, the brain will capture info as if it was an experience your living rather than simply words being read.
  • The brain takes actions, smells, feels, and events as if they were real. As well as interactions with other people.
