NAACP

The founders of the NAACP were Ida B. Wells, W.E.B. Du Bois, Archibald Grimké, Oswald Garrison Villard, Lillian Wald, Mary White Ovington, William English Walling, Henry Moskowitz.

The NAACP was founded in 1909 to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

The NAACP are a group of 300,000 like-minded people that fight racism.

The goal for the NAACP is to keep racism out and keep equal rights for all people.

The NAACP gets all their funding from federal funding in the forms of grants and loans but they do get donations from people that support them. They have a budget of $21,800,000+.

Currently the NAACP is addressing issues of felony disenfranchisement, stand your ground, racial profiling, and the school to prison pipeline at the United Nations.

The NAACP has supported the passage of the ANTI-LYNCHING BILL sense 1918.
The ANTI-LYNCHING BILL is an act too assure to persons within the jurisdiction of every State the equal protection of the laws, and to punish the crime of lynching.

The NAACP has done both peaceful and aggressive movements to gather public awareness. Most of the aggressive movements happened within the southern states back in the 1900's, but have been peaceful sense then.
