Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy. This beatitude is for people who forgive and love others and that they will be shown love and forgiveness in heaven. This beatitude could be applied to people today thought people like doctors, police, firefighters, and people in the military because they protect and care for people I the world.

When might knowing the beatitudes come in handy?


Knowing the beatitudes could come in handy because they are reminders of how we should act and how we should treat others.

Why do you think Jesus gave us the beatitudes?

I think Jesus gave us the beatitudes because he wanted to give his disciples a new way of living.

What do you learn about God from the beatitudes?

We learn that if er spread the message of God's kingdom we can find true happiness.

How does these attitudes compare with the attitudes of culture today?

These attitudes are still alive today, people still believe and follow them. But not as many people are following them as there should be. Most people don't even now about the beatitudes and follow there own ways.

How might the world be different if everyone lived by the beatitudes?

If everyone lived by the beatitudes the world would be peaceful and there'd be no more war.

Can you live the beatitudes? How?

You can live the beatitudes by spreading the kingdom of God and finding true happiness.
