HISTORICAL GEOGRAPHY

  • Named island Taiwan Formosa meaning bautiful island.
  • The island and 86 smaller island make up republic of china.
  • The island is 100miles off asian mainland.
  • It is slightly larger that Massachusetts and Connecticut combined
  • Taiwan was apart of china and they broke off

The nationalists Chinese party controlled Taiwan under military law for 38 years.

  • The legislating Yuan
  • The judicial Yuan

The presidents exclusive branch, including the exclusive Yuan, examination yuan and control yuan.
