“While the Industrial Revolution had both positive and negative effects on society and the economy, the positive effects outweighed the negative.”
The Industrial Revolution had many positive effects on society. It created millions of dollars of revenue into the economy. During the Industrial Revolution steam-ships and trains were created. The use of these provides a more effective means of transporting people all around the world.
The interaction of different parts of the world allowed major figures in world history to meet and share new ideas. The United States and Great Britain gained new information and shared new tactics. The use of steam powered ships and trains allowed different regions of the world to unite.
Steam power was developed and used primarily for industrial production. It was used in factory systems to help build the needed materials quickly and in large amounts. A positivity to steam power was that it allowed faster transportation of people and goods. The goods and products could be economically delivered to areas that they would have never reached without steam power.
A negativity of the use of steam power and factory systems was that it took a toll on the environment. It polluted the water and it caused long term affects to the atmosphere. Also, people had to work very long hours in the factories as there was so much to be done.
Conclusion:
