Equilibrium Project

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Things that have to happen for equilibrium:

Two reactants combine to form a product-this has to happen in equilibrium because otherwise there wouldn't even be a reaction.

Products break apart and turn back to reactants-There is a point where those two reactions happen and you can't tell that any reactions are happening. It looks like it's finished but the product is just turning back into the reactant and vice versa.

Equilibrium has to happen by itself-if two substances react with each other then they'll eventually reach equilibrium. If an outside force acts on it then it might not reach equilibrium.

All the charges of the elements in the reaction have to equal zero.
