• Solar Energy is the way of taking the suns
• light/energy and making energy from it.

SOLAR PANELS

• They are actually called photovoltaic cells
• When sunlight hits the cells the electrons fall from their atoms.
• When these electrons flow in the cell it makes energy

• The suns energy can also be used for heat
• In one scenario the heat boils the water
• Which generates a steam turbine
• Which then generates electricity

WINDOWS

• Some buildings have windows on the side of
• the them letting the sun heat things in side that run on solar energy
• Other times they use windows to absorb the heat
• Then they use it to heat the building at night.

SOLAR LIGHTS

• When you use solar lights they don't cause pollution
• When you have these they are not effected by black outs
• Solar lights can store up energy so they can work anytime
• They can also work at night.

• Space travel and space exploration uses a lot of solar energy
